Yesterday, the LaiQa consortium successfully held its Interim Review Meeting (Reporting Period 1) online, bringing together all project partners and the European Commission reviewers.
Coordinated by the Photonics Communications Research Laboratory (PCRL), LaiQa presented the progress achieved so far in developing polarization-based Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) PIC-based Entangled Photon Pair Sources (EPPS). The discussion highlighted key technical achievements, ongoing research efforts, as well as the project’s dissemination and communication activities.
The reviewers and partners also addressed upcoming milestones and explored how LaiQa’s results will contribute to the advancement of the broader quantum communication field.
