Εγκρίθηκαν οι ερευνητικές προτάσεις SPRINTER και LOLIPOP

2 νέες ερευνητικές προτάσεις εγκρίθηκαν μέσα από το ανταγωνιστικό πλαίσιο χρηματοδότησης της ΕΕ και θα ξεκινήσουν σύντομα υπό τον συντονισμό του PCRL. Μάλιστα και τα 2 πέτυχαν την υψηλότερη δυνατή βαθμολογία: 15/15!

Τα 2 έργα που θα ξεκινήσουν σύντομα είναι:

1. SPRINTER: Low-coSt and energy-efficient hybrid Photonic integrated circuits for fibeR-optic, free-space optIcal and mmWave commuNication systems supporting Time critical networking in industrial EnviRonments
   SPRINTER will provide a set of low-cost, energy-efficient, and ultra-dynamic optical transceivers and an optical switching solution to cope with the diverse needs of the industrial networks and expedite their truly digital transformation.
2. LOLIPOP: Lithium NiObate empowered siLIcon nitride Platform for fragmentation free OPeration in the visible and the NIR.
