ECOC took place in September 2015, at Valencia, Spain. PCRL co-organized a workshop with NEPHELE partners TE Connectivity (The Netherlands) and IMEC (Belgium), titled “Optical technologies for the exascale cloud datacenter era.” PCRL senior researcher, Dr. Paraskevas Bakopoulos, contributed with the following talk: “Optical switching in datacenter networks: Why and how?”
