The paper titled “Novel ML-Assisted Optical Equalization Photonic Integrated Circuit for High-Speed IM/DD Systems” will be presented at the OFC 2025! This research is part of the PICaboo and SPRINTER projects, coordinated by the Photonics Communications Research Laboratory (PCRL).
📅 Presentation Day and Time:
April 2, 2025, 6:00 PM to 6:15 PM PDT
📍 Session Information:
- Session Abbreviation: W4H
- Session Title: Machine Learning DSP
- Session Time: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM PDT
- Location: Room 215 (Level 2)
In this work, we demonstrate an innovative InP equalization circuit capable of compensating for bandwidth limitations and dispersion in high-speed IM/DD systems. Powered by a blind ML-based optimizer, this approach outperforms digital FFE at 50 Gb/s over 10km. 🌐📡
The paper is co-authored by George Brestas, Giannis Kanakis, Maria Spyropoulou, Christophe Caillaud, Giancarlo Cerulo, Vladyslav Vakarin, Mokhtar Korti, Christoph Füllner, Robert Borkowski, Alessandro Aimone, Rene Bonk and Hercules Avramopoulos.
We are excited to share the latest advancements with the community and engage in discussions about how this work could drive the future of high-speed optical communications!
