PCRL, as Coordinator of the PHOREVER Project, is happy to announce the release of the project’s promotional video.
PHOREVER aims to improve early disease detection by analysing tiny particles in the blood called extracellular vesicles (EVs). EVs carry valuable information about the state of their cells of origin, which can help doctors understand how diseases such as cancer and stroke develop and progress.
To achieve this, PHOREVER is developing a compact multi-sensing platform capable of:
-
Detecting EVs as small as 80 nm
-
Identifying biomarkers on EVs
-
Measuring EV concentrations in blood
The platform combines photonics, microfluidics, and AI, offering a powerful point-of-care tool for medical applications. Initial use cases focus on pancreatic cancer and stroke.
