The PICaboo Project, coordinated by the Photonics Communications Research Laboratory (PCRL), has successfully completed its journey with a Final Review Meeting held online on November 13, 2024.
Launched in January 2021, PICaboo brought together 6 partners from 5 European countries, including:
- ICCS – NTUA
- Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e)
- III-V Lab
- VLC Photonics
- Nokia
- ADVA
This collaborative project focused on developing novel building blocks for photonic integrated circuits (PICs) on the InP platforms of TU/e and III-V Lab, using the generic foundry model. These innovations were aimed at enhancing PIC performance and reducing development costs, advancing the state of the art in integrated photonics.
The Final Review Meeting provided an opportunity to showcase the project’s achievements, innovative solutions, and progress to the European Commission reviewers.
We extend our deepest gratitude to all project partners for their dedication, teamwork, and contributions to this ambitious initiative.
