Short Bio
Dr. Aristeidis Stathis received his bachelor’s degree in Physics from University of Patras (Greece) in 2017 and his M.Sc. degree in «Materials Physics and Technology – Photonics» from the University of Patras (Greece) in 2019. His thesis was carried out at the Non-Linear Optics and Laser Applications Laboratory (NLOLA) and concerned the nonlinear optical response of 2D materials like graphene and silicene, nanoribbons, Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs), and other carbon-based nanomaterials. He received his Ph.D. in July 2022 investigating the nonlinear optical response and dynamics of graphene thin films and novel synthesized functionalized graphene derivatives used in photonic applications. He is a member of Photonics Communication Research Laboratory (PCRL) as a Post-Doctoral/Senior Researcher since September 2022. His current interests lie on the experimental investigation of photonic platforms for both Classical and Quantum Photonic Platforms and on the integration of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) in Practical Deployments. Dr. Aristeidis Stathis is the author or co-author of more than 20 publications in international peer-reviewed journals.
