Panagiotis Toumasis received his Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), in 2018. His Diploma thesis was carried out at the Microwave and Fiber Optics Laboratory focusing on the development of antennas for In Vitro Spectroscopy of biological tissues using THz frequencies. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D as a member of the Photonics Communications Research Laboratory (PCRL). His research activities include among others the development of DSP algorithms and their real-time implementation through FPGA boards for flexible 5G-oriented optical networking. He is an excellent speaker on English.
