Short Bio
Dr. Giannis Giannoulis received his PhD in 2017 working on plasmonic circuitries for switching concepts and he is now a postdoctoral researcher at the Photonics Communications Research Laboratory (PCRL). His research interests are focused on next generation optical technologies and networks assisting the needs of 5G/B5G infrastructure and the security of its optical transport layer. His research also focuses on the design and development of novel optical systems/sub-systems in the field of emerged Quantum Communications. He has actively participated in several H2020-funded projects while he is currently involved in the frame of 5G-PPP as well in the Quantum Technologies Flagship. Dr. Giannoulis is the author or co-author of more than 55 publications in top of the line journals and presentations in the most prestigious and highly competitive optical fiber technology conferences.
