Short Bio
Dr. Christos Tsokos received his Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical
University of Athens (NTUA) in 2015, specialized in Telecommunications and Computer Networks, and his PhD
from the Photonics Communications Research Laboratory (PCRL) in 2022. His research interests are in the field
of Microwave Photonics and cover a broad range of applications, including the design of optical beamforming
networks for 5G and 6G communications systems and photonics-enabled telemetry systems such as Radar and
Lidar. In the period 2021 – 2022, Dr. Tsokos was employed as a Microwave Photonics Engineer and Project
Manager at LioniX International, Enschede, The Netherlands, leading the technical implementation of
commercial projects with multinational customers and participating in various European-funded research
projects. In October 2022, Dr. Tsokos joined the PCRL as a Senior Researcher and Project Manager of large-scale European-funded projects.
